Looking for a fun event during the spring break? Heroes Made in Asia is a two-day event dedicated to Asian (pop) culture. This  event will take place on February 24th and 25th at Evenementenhal Gorinchem. Explore all the exhibitors, cheer on your favorite gamers during gaming tournaments, and taste delightful Asian street food. International special guests will also be present at the guest area. Workshops and demonstrations will be organized, such as a Kintsugi masterclass, manga drawing, and sword fighting. These are the most exciting parts you definitely shouldn’t miss;

Shop ’til you drop
At the Asian Market, you can shop not only for K-beauty makeup and kawaii items, but also for merchandise from the coolest anime and games. You can also find authentic soju and tasty snacks like Pocky. In the Artist Alley, you’ll discover unique artworks from local artists. You can get beautiful prints as well as cool pins, stickers, and tote bags.

Get hands-on
Get hands-on during one of the many workshops. Always wanted to learn how to master the manga drawing style or become the best swordsman? You’ll learn it at Heroes Made in Asia. There’s a wide range of workshops, masterclasses, and demonstrations in various categories. From dancing to drawing and from martial arts to cooking, there’s more than enough to do.

Foodies alert!
Foodies can indulge themselves at the Food Market. With a choice of fourteen caterers and various Asian cuisines, there’s plenty to try. Think of classics like satay and spring rolls, but also some more unfamiliar dishes and snacks like teokbokki (spicy rice sticks) and okonomiyaki (savory omelet with cabbage). Looking for inspiration? Visit the Food Theater for demonstrations such as making the perfect sushi roll.

Controller ready!
Is your hand almost fused with your controller? Then the Gaming Area is the place for you. Challenge yourself during one of the tournaments, such as Super Mario Bros. Ultimate, and compete for amazing prizes. The gaming area is also great for novice players. You can play games to your heart’s content with family and friends in the Free to Play area or join the famous role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, which is fully dedicated to the Asian world.

And there’s much more
This is the place to be for anime and manga lovers. Meet your favorite manga artists, anime voice actors, and influencers in the Guest Square. Talented artists like Laia Lopez, who keeps over a million Instagram followers updated on her artworks, and Sara Lozoya, known for her own manga series ‘Flashlight’, will be at the signing tables. You can also visit the Cosplay Village, where ten professional cosplayers will be present. They’ll take photos with their fans and host various panels with useful cosplay tips.
