Our Special Guest, and creator of our new mascot, Mochi, Meritxell Garcia (of Gecko Chan’s fame) has been thinking about how to make the fans’ experience at Heroes Made in Asia even more special for weeks. Creating the new mascot and the show’s poster wasn’t enough for her, and after much thinking she remembered… BAD MELENA.

Let me guide you through history a bit. Back when Meri’s career was starting, she used to ride the subway to get home, and during those rides, a series of comic strips about life, anxiety, emotions and many other things were born. All of them created with an exquisite and hilarious sense of comedy. Some of these are available on Webtoon (home of Meri’s worldwide success Gecko Chan) and other places… The thing is, Meri remembered Bad Melena and decided to take a huge risk and self-edit herself a revised and restored printed edition of it ONLY for the Heroes Made in Asia fans! As follows:

Bad Melena will be a hard cover book collecting all the strips created by Meritxell Garcia. There will only be 50 copies, all numbered, signed and certified by Meritxell, and they will only be on sale at Heroes Made in Asia for the incredibly affordable price of 19,90 euros each! I repeat, the book will only be available for sale at our show, you won’t be able to find it anywhere, created, designed, and self-edited by the legend behind our mascot, Mochi! You will be able to find the book at Meri’s table in the “Guest Area” right in the middle of the hall, where she also have the show’s poster and a lot of other stuff related to Gecko Chan and many other things!

Here’s the cover and some of the book’s strips so you see it’s a MUST have (if you didn’t know it already) 🙂

You can follow Meritxell on Instagram at Meritxell Garcia  and Gecko Chan.

See you all there!
