Renowned 24Kitchen chef Eveline Wu is the third chef to join the event. Best known for her television programs on 24Kitchen, her Simply Asian cookbook, and her many restaurants across the country, Eveline has an unmatched expertise in Asian cuisine. On Sunday March 16, she will be at Heroes Made in Asia in the Jaarbeurs to share her knowledge and teach visitors how to make Asian cuisine their own.

From Shanghai to the Netherlands

Eveline’s roots lie in a small village in the countryside near Shanghai. With a Chinese chef as a father, her passion for cooking was nurtured from an early age. After moving to the Netherlands, she quickly mastered the language and entered the hospitality industry. In 1999, she opened the country’s first wok restaurant, followed by successful ventures such as MOOD Rotterdam, Tilburg, and MOOD To Go in Roermond, as well as De Kreeftenbar, Wynwood, and Fish & Chips (Chaijä).

Her talent has been widely recognized—at the 2016 World Championship Chinese Cuisine, she won a gold medal for her dessert. In addition, she has two successful programs on 24Kitchen, where she brings traditional Asian cuisine to Dutch audiences.

Sharing Her Passion Through TV and Books

To inspire others with the versatility of Asian cuisine, Eveline presents two shows on 24Kitchen. In Eveline’s Asian Streetfood, she introduces Dutch celebrities and home viewers to the best street food recipes. In Eveline’s Asian Favourites, she prepares delicious dishes that are easy to recreate at home. These shows also form the foundation of her cookbook, Simply Asian, in which she proves how simple it can be to bring authentic Asian flavors to your own kitchen.

Eveline is always looking for new challenges, innovative recipes and improvements. She gets a lot of inspiration from abroad. Her will to deliver top quality and her knowledge of the market makes her concepts successful time and again. Her recent pride is the Chinese Pavilion, Matsu Beef Atelier in Eindhoven.
