Our latest artist is Konata! Buy her prints, get autographs, or just talk to her in the HMIA Guest Square.

Konata

Konata started studying Manga at art school on the weekends, and soon she realized that was the artistic path she wanted to follow so she started studying Art Graphic. During her stay at Joso’s school she won the award in the International Comic and Manga competition organized by Clip Studio Paint with her story “¡Ánimo Papá!” (“You got this, Dad!”)

She’s currently working on the Planeta Manga magazine, where she’s published titles like EDO, NEBESTA (with script by Vanesa Final) and KOHVA, written and drawn by Konata, title that has been licensed to be published in Japan, a historic feat!

Discover the Artist Behind Our Mascot: Meritxell Garcia at HMIA 2026

Our Special Guest, and creator of our new mascot, Mochi, Meritxell Garcia (of Gecko Chan’s fame) has been thinking about how to make the fans’ experience at Heroes Made in Asia even more special for weeks. Creating the new mascot and the show’s poster wasn’t enough for her, and after much thinking she remembered… BAD MELENA.
