From traditional crafts to modern pop-inspired creations, the workshops offer a space to discover, make, and enjoy together.

The workshops are free to enter, but workshop tickets are limited and run out quickly, so make sure to be there early. VIP visitors can enter from 9:00.

Japanese Yosakoi Dance

Todoroki Yosakoi will bring the energy of Japanese festival dance to Heroes Made in Asia with both a stage show and an interactive workshop on the Matsuri Stage. During their performance you will experience Yosakoi: a powerful, colourful and modern Japanese group dance that is performed at hundreds of festivals in Japan and in many countries worldwide. Come dance with Todoroki Yosakoi on the Matsuri Stage and discover this unique side of Japanese culture!

Wig Making | Twigs Wigs

Hii hi! I’m Twig, and in this wig-making workshop you’ll be working with glue and wire to create your own wig “ahoge”! That’s the little tuft of hair on top of some anime characters’ heads. By doing this, you’ll learn exactly what it’s like to turn a handmade shape into something that actually looks like a wig! Oh, and if you’re smart, bring a small lock of hair from your own wig; I might have some wefts in the same color! Will I see you there?

Samurai Lecture

Step into the world of the samurai in this interactive workshop. Discover what is fact and what is fiction, as we explore popular misconceptions about samurai life, their armour, weapons, and the values they lived by, all supported with fun facts and surprising stories. With live demonstrations and traditional Japanese music, this workshop offers an engaging way to learn more about Japan’s historical and cultural heritage. Suitable for anyone curious about the real samurai behind the legends.

Ever wanted to draw your own manga character? Choose from two different manga workshops Basic manga character face (large eyes) or Chibi character No experience needed, both workshops are perfect for beginners as well as fans who want to improve their drawing style.

Geisha | Kinu no hana

Discover the refined world of the geisha in this unique workshop by Kinu No Hana. Learn about the history and cultural role of geisha and oiran, their traditional clothing and hairstyles, and dance and posture as refined forms of expression. There will be time for questions and photos with participants in kimono.

Always been curious about voice acting? Or would you like to bring your own voice to life in one of your favorite anime or film clips? Here's your chance! Join the Fandubbing Workshop, taught by Justin Sabio, and get tips & tricks! During this interactive session, you'll learn the basics of character voicing and get a chance to test your voice in a fandubbing of a famous scene. Whether you are a beginner or already have some experience, everyone is welcome!
