The first edition of the pop culture event Heroes Made in Asia in Evenementenhal Gorinchem will be postponed to the weekend of May 8 and 9, 2021. In the press conference of April 21, 2020, the Dutch Government announced that the current measures for events will be extended until 1 September. As a result, the edition of Heroes Made in Asia on August 15 and 16, will be postponed again. Originally, the first edition would have taken place on May 23 and 24. All ticket holders will receive an email today about their order. Down below you’ll find more information about the options.
Heroes Made in Asia is a meeting place for fans of the Asian pop culture. Friends and fans would gather in Evenementenhal Gorinchem to enjoy Asian games, workshops, merchandise, food, artists, and to spot and meet inspiring cosplayers. Due to the ongoing measures against the coronavirus, it is no longer possible to organize the event on August 15 and 16.
The positive thing is that your ticket remains valid on the new date. Ticket holders who are unable to attend Heroes Made in Asia on the new date will be offered various options for their ticket, including receiving a voucher.
In order for Heroes Made in Asia to continue to exist, the initiative ‘Save Your Ticket‘ calls for a refund in the form of a voucher. This initiative, which is supported by the government, was set up to prevent event organisers from falling if everyone asks for their money back. This gives Heroes Made in Asia the opportunity to organize new events in the future. This voucher holds the value of the original order including service costs. Ticket holders can exchange the voucher for a ticket later, to enjoy Heroes Made in Asia another time. It is also possible to exchange the voucher for a ticket for Heroes Dutch Comic Con, another event by the same organization.
Ticket holders can also choose to convert their whole ticket, or a part of their ticket into a donation to support the event. If ticket holders do not want to receive a voucher or make a donation, it is possible to get a refund of the purchase costs. This week, all ticket holders will receive an e-mail in which they can make their choice. In this e-mail, exhibitors and all other parties involved will also be informed. More information about the initiative can be found on saveyourticket.nl and on the website of the organisation: made-in-asia.nl.
